Catch makes the Top 50 list

May 31, 2011 - Posted by: Jonathan

top 50RAR has compiled a list of the 50 independent digital agencies in the London area.

Agencies are rated across criteria including client service, creativity and value for money.

RAR’s system also measures key areas such as growth, gross profit and turnover per employee, key indicators in terms of profitability and efficiency.

Doing well in all the above, I am please to say we’ve snuck in at number 47 this year!

Fun with Photosynth

May 11, 2011 - Posted by: Jonathan

Catch. Studio Highly recommend getting yourself a copy of the excellent Photosynth app for your iPhone.

Clearly I am no professional (as you can see from the quick studio shot), but the speed at which it allows you to create a half-decent 360 panorama is impressive.

Check out how the pros use it at www.photosynth.net.

Hello London!

March 23, 2011 - Posted by: Jon Hume

With all the non-stop excitement of Drupal website development keeping the client services team at Catch busier than ever, the decision was made to bolster the team at Archer Street Studios in Soho.

So, here I am – your new Senior Producer! I come from a background working in all things digital and have a passion for helping businesses to maximise their digital output. I’ve produced digital solutions and campaigns, both online and offline and been lucky enough to work on some great projects over the years for the likes of Berkeley Homes & Caterham Cars, sometimes even getting my hands dirty with coding or design where appropriate.

Having worked in the agencies for the bulk of my career (most recently as Head of Digital at a full service marketing agency), I’ve got bags of experience in producing high-traffic, framework driven websites for businesses with a focus in the new homes, financial, construction and automotive markets.

I look forward to working with you.

Jon Hume

Why do couples flirt on Twitter?

December 15, 2010 - Posted by: Jonathan

BBC News featuring @jonsm1thIt’s not often I get featured on the BBC News website (read: never), let alone in the company of Liz Hurley and Shane Warne.

However, today I have found myself and my future wife featuring as the 4th most popular story on the website today extolling the virtues of Social Media – specifically announcing my recent engagement to the world via Twitter, in an interview I gave yesterday.

Feliz Navidad!

December 13, 2010 - Posted by: Jonathan

Madrid montageWhat a better way to celebrate the great year we’ve had by heading off to Madrid to celebrate Christmas in style. We had a cracking time, helped by leaving a freezing -2 degree London, and arriving in the Spanish capital to a sunny 17 degrees.

It all went by too quickly and the recovery from our 3 days of jamon eating and cerveza drinking is only just beginning!

Take a look on our Facebook page to see our photos.

Hello you x 2

October 25, 2010 - Posted by: Catch

With all of these new clients of ours, we thought it would be a good idea to add a few more members to the Catch team. As of Monday the 25th of October we’re happy to welcome two new people – Said and Anna – to each take a seat in our office at Archer Street Studios in Soho.

Said has a BA in software engineering from The University of Westminster, and comes to us from another well known London agency. Not only is this guy a very talented backend-developer, but he also holds a proficiency in Drupal – Catch’s favourite CMS. Said is now eager to learn more about frontend programming, and will be joining our development team.

Anna comes from a background in project management for system development, marketing and PR. Having previously studied at Berghs School of Communication in Stockholm (where she comes from), she received her MA degree in interactive media from LCC, University of the Arts London, this September. Anna is joining us an intern on the Client Services team (she is also nominated for a BIMA at present… wow).

Welcome!

Said and Anna

Catch at Bloomsbury Lanes

February 18, 2010 - Posted by: Pete

bowling! We headed off to Bloomsbury Lanes for bowling, hot dogs, beer and free Whiskey(!) earlier this week. There were a variety of bowling styles on show, with Rory’s smooth efficiency, Matt’s through the legs backwards technique and Joanathan’s unrefined but deadly bullets (Yes, ‘Joanathan’, the staff down there might be lovely but they sure can’t spell).

With a game won each by Jonathan and Owen we moved on to left handers and spin bowls under the guidance of Rory, who claimed to be very knowledgeable on the subject.

All in all there seems to be plenty of talent just waiting to be tapped here at Catch, perhaps you will see us in a second appearance at the 2012 Olympics. We’re already dead certs for the Foosball following our Friday night post-work/pre-pub training sessions here in the office.

She brings with her a degree in media economics and various agency experience the world over from Europe to China, in sectors as diverse as Fashion, FMCG and Travel.

Hailing from Germany, she tries her best to prove that Germany has much more to offer than sausages, admiration for David Hasselhoff and efficiency.
