iQ website launch

May 17, 2011 - Posted by: Katharina

iq-drupal-launch-blog

Have a look at our spectacular new website for iQ Student Accommodation. In the week after launch iQ had their highest number of bookings ever.

We’re all happy, as is Sophie Jackson, Marketing Manager at iQ:

Catch have been a fantastic team to work with during the relaunch of our website. From initial project scoping through design and development stages through to going live, Catch have listened to our needs and quickly provided solutions to any problems we have encountered. The extension of the Drupal CMS system we now have is excellent. The training provided was thorough and the system is very easy to use which means we have full control of our website, which is very cost effective and easy to manage.

Hello London!

March 23, 2011 - Posted by: Jon Hume

With all the non-stop excitement of Drupal website development keeping the client services team at Catch busier than ever, the decision was made to bolster the team at Archer Street Studios in Soho.

So, here I am – your new Senior Producer! I come from a background working in all things digital and have a passion for helping businesses to maximise their digital output. I’ve produced digital solutions and campaigns, both online and offline and been lucky enough to work on some great projects over the years for the likes of Berkeley Homes & Caterham Cars, sometimes even getting my hands dirty with coding or design where appropriate.

Having worked in the agencies for the bulk of my career (most recently as Head of Digital at a full service marketing agency), I’ve got bags of experience in producing high-traffic, framework driven websites for businesses with a focus in the new homes, financial, construction and automotive markets.

I look forward to working with you.

Amazing launch party

November 8, 2010 - Posted by: Jonathan

Last week saw the launch of Amazing Spectacles over at the Prime Focus HQ on Dean Street. The building looked pretty amazing (geddit) daubed with specially crafted visuals from the AS team.

For a full run down on the party, including photos, head on over to Prime Focus’ blog (or read our post below).

Amazing Spectacles

November 6, 2010 - Posted by: Jonathan

Amazing Specs headerAmazing Spectacles make something magical appear from absolutely nothing (as they say: “a bit like Siegfried and Roy really, only without the fake tans and penchant for white tigers”), and we’ve just made their new website magically appear from our studio at www.amazingspectacles.com

They may be a brand new offering, but the team behind this animation studio are anything but rookies. Between them, their directors have worked on everything from the music video of Moby’s “Why does my heart feel so bad” to the official London 2012 Olympic bid.

Backed by one of the largest Visual Entertainment Services Groups in the world, Prime Focus we’re certain that Amazing Spectacles will continue to produce great things for many years to come.

Whoop whoop!

Snazaroo iPhone app

November 2, 2010 - Posted by: Anna

snazzyWe’ve been successful in our pitch for how to best introduce parents to face painting (as you do) for Snazaroo, part of the global ColArt empire. The smashing idea we had for an iPhone application is now half way through production as we write this, edging its way ever close to the App store in time for Christmas.

Pretty soon it won’t only be designers and developers here at Catch that get to play with taking photos of colleagues and smudging paint all over them. Keep your eyes out (kids and adults) – we promise it to be a bundle of fun!

Established in 1989, Snazaroo has grown from its modest roots supplying fancy dress hire shops to become the world’s leading maker of water-based face and body paints. Today its UK factory creates and supplies hand-made face and body paints, along with hundreds of other products, to over 20 countries around the world. The company’s emphasis on quality and safety – all paints comply to the strictest toy and cosmetic regulations, are water-based, easy to apply and remove – has inspired huge brand loyalty over the years.

Catch and Barworks

November 1, 2010 - Posted by: Anna

Barworks montageHaving worked with Barworks for a while now, we thought it would be about time to summarise the work we’ve done for them.

Barworks own a number of  hipster venues around London including the Slaughtered Lamb, Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen and Electricity Showrooms. In the past 18 months we’ve produced over 8 very different sites for them, from Flash to CMS to whizzy jQuery.

We were one of the UKs first agencies to use Papervision for a commerical website, then had it nominated for an industry award and also featured in Esquire Magazine. We’ve even managed to grow their email database by some 1,500% and shown them the ways of sending out their own content managed monthly email newsletters.

At Catch we take care of our clients, and what better way than a night out to get to know the brand. In this case, we’re more than happy to this particular client’s core values out of office hours.

Our work with the brand doesnt stop there, we continue to work with Barworks on new an exciting projects, including their very own craft brewery, the Camden Town Brewery.

Hello you x 2

October 25, 2010 - Posted by: Catch

With all of these new clients of ours, we thought it would be a good idea to add a few more members to the Catch team. As of Monday the 25th of October we’re happy to welcome two new people – Said and Anna – to each take a seat in our office at Archer Street Studios in Soho.

Said has a BA in software engineering from The University of Westminster, and comes to us from another well known London agency. Not only is this guy a very talented backend-developer, but he also holds a proficiency in Drupal – Catch’s favourite CMS. Said is now eager to learn more about frontend programming, and will be joining our development team.

Anna comes from a background in project management for system development, marketing and PR. Having previously studied at Berghs School of Communication in Stockholm (where she comes from), she received her MA degree in interactive media from LCC, University of the Arts London, this September. Anna is joining us an intern on the Client Services team (she is also nominated for a BIMA at present… wow).

Welcome!

Said and Anna

The Future of Web Apps

October 11, 2010 - Posted by: Catch

Catch at FOWAWorking in a fast-moving industry with ever-changing technologies, we feel it’s most important to stay on top of what’s going on outside of our office. It isn’t always enough to read blogs(!), check the latest tweets and read the hottest news, but to also attend an event every now and then in order to gain useful insights and updates from specialists in various digital fields.

So this is what we just did. Catch attended The Future of Web Apps Conference held in London on the 4-6 October. Three whole days of interesting talks by experts! Safe to say, this iPhone app we’re working on for Snazaroo (to be launched before Christmas), will not be our last.

Camden Town Brewery

August 5, 2010 - Posted by: Anna

Brewing NowLondon now has it’s very own craft beer, brewed in Camden Town by the newly launched Camden Town Brewery.

We’re all big fans of beer here at Catch. So you can imagine we’re over the moon to be chosen as their digital partner.

Camden Town Brewery lager, wheat beer and pale ales are now being stocked in various Barworks venues, and having had several taste tests, we can confirm they do brew a very fine pint.

The magic happens in a state of the art brewery underneath the arches moments away from Camden Town Market.

They are trying hard to prove that craft beer isn’t just for people with exceedingly long beards and beer guts. Working with some of the hottest creative teams in New York, the brand is looking sharp and we’re looking forward to cementing them as masters of their craft online in the coming months.

You can sign up to be alerted via email when their full site is going live at their temporary home www.camdentownbrewery.com.

Cheers!
