Legal Support Network launch

January 19, 2012 - Posted by: Catch

Legal Support Network screenshotAfter a year in production, we’ve just put live an online community for Legal Support Network. With tens of thousands of pages of content, it’s somewhat of a monster. But this is easily handled by the Drupal platform, enabling the LSN editorial team complete control over the content and community online.

Read a little more on our involvement here, and visit the website itself at www.legalsupportnetwork.co.uk

Hello you x 2

October 25, 2010 - Posted by: Catch

With all of these new clients of ours, we thought it would be a good idea to add a few more members to the Catch team. As of Monday the 25th of October we’re happy to welcome two new people – Said and Anna – to each take a seat in our office at Archer Street Studios in Soho.

Said has a BA in software engineering from The University of Westminster, and comes to us from another well known London agency. Not only is this guy a very talented backend-developer, but he also holds a proficiency in Drupal – Catch’s favourite CMS. Said is now eager to learn more about frontend programming, and will be joining our development team.

Anna comes from a background in project management for system development, marketing and PR. Having previously studied at Berghs School of Communication in Stockholm (where she comes from), she received her MA degree in interactive media from LCC, University of the Arts London, this September. Anna is joining us an intern on the Client Services team (she is also nominated for a BIMA at present… wow).

Welcome!

Said and Anna

The Future of Web Apps

October 11, 2010 - Posted by: Catch

Catch at FOWAWorking in a fast-moving industry with ever-changing technologies, we feel it’s most important to stay on top of what’s going on outside of our office. It isn’t always enough to read blogs(!), check the latest tweets and read the hottest news, but to also attend an event every now and then in order to gain useful insights and updates from specialists in various digital fields.

So this is what we just did. Catch attended The Future of Web Apps Conference held in London on the 4-6 October. Three whole days of interesting talks by experts! Safe to say, this iPhone app we’re working on for Snazaroo (to be launched before Christmas), will not be our last.

The site is built in Flash site and powered by the Catch CMS system, enabling the client to update text and graphics as they wish. Flash content managed

In fact, we are already working on the three individual development sites which will be launched in due course as the developments near completion. Expect to see more of interactive 3D floor plans and general Flash wizardry.

Educated Reto

May 7, 2009 - Posted by: Catch

reto-picHailing from Switzerland, Reto previously worked with Sunrise.ch on putting the digital structure in place enabling them to increase revenue and profit in the first quarter of 2009 by some 8.1% to £285m. Just as he is planning to do at Catch.

But forget this impressive feat, he was hired solely on the fact that he can touch his knee sliders to the floor when cornering on his Suzuki GSX-R 600 motorbike at 100mph.

He’s a fan of House and Electro Music (he is “European” after all). As it happens, he holds an impressive qualification in web design and development from Qantm here in the UK, so we’ll let him off such musical indiscretions.

He flogged his GSX-R 600 for 6e to buy his Ryanair flight to Stanstead last year. Probably for the best, not many bends here in Soho.

Willkommen Reto!

The Diner restaurant

April 20, 2009 - Posted by: Catch

The Diner logoThe Diner is a slice of classic Americana with branches in the heart of Shoreditch, Soho, Camden and now Kensal Rise and Islington. Not an ironic, kitsch 50’s diner, but an honest-to-god slice of New York, right down to the boothed seating and bottomless coffee.

We are currently knee deep producing the new Diner website in Papervision, creating a modern twist on their classic tale. This may be one of the reasons the blog hasn’t been updated for several weeks now, it seems to be the Flash lot that like to blog!

Keep an eye for the new site this summer.

Campaign Photo Awards

March 26, 2009 - Posted by: Catch

Campaign Photo logoCampaign is the eyes, ears and voice of advertising in the UK, (tasuznhxf8) and has earned huge respect at home and around the world as a champion of creativity, in all its forms, as it is used to make advertising harder hitting, more emotive…evocative, effective.

So you can imagine how excited the budding (albeit it amateur) photographers in the studio were when Campaign asked to use our entry platform to power the inaugural Campaign Photo Awards. Catch already designs, manages and hosts 19 awards websites for Haymarket Media Group. For the four most prestigious of these (Campaign BIG Awards, Media Week, and Campaign Photo and PRWeek) we also provide a bespoke entry platform facilitating registration, entry upload, online judging and payment.

To make life as simple as possible, initial entry is online from March 26, 2009. In this inaugural year, the time limit on use of an image is set at no earlier than November 1, 2007 and no later than April 30, 2009.

So whether you work professionally in Paddington, Sydney or Paddington, London; Athens, Georgia or Athens, Greece your work will be judged by an independent, impartial, experienced team of judges. You can enter here www.campaignphotoawards.com.

MIPIM – Invest Northamptonshire website

March 11, 2009 - Posted by: Catch

mipim21MIPIM is the world’s premier real estate summit, this year it’s in swanky Cannes, France.

Invest Northamptonshire needed to advertise their return to MIPIM, after a successful turn there in 2008. They wanted an informative modern yet clean design with advanced functions such as a site search engine, as well as text content video was also going to a main distributor of information. A real joint effort, working with our two sister agencies Ferrier Pearce and First Image we produced a four minute promo video to support our website and a highlights video of Kevin McCloud’s construction lunch speech, which was filmed, edited and uploaded to the website within one hour of the speech.

We produced this clean, simple to follow, design that contained large amounts a information, judge for yourself at http://mipim.investnorthamptonshire.co.uk

Technologies used: xHTML, PHP, jQuery, GoogleMaps, Flash
